Google Data Use

What connecting Google means

Google connection is optional. You authorize a specific connector in Google's consent screen. Pulse requests your account email address to verify the connection and the read-only scope needed by that connector.

• Google Docs: document content and structure for reading a document you supply.
• Google Sheets: spreadsheet contents for reading a selected spreadsheet.
• Google Drive: accessible file metadata and file content for finding and reading files.
• Gmail: message and thread content and metadata for user-requested email summaries and analysis.
• Google Calendar: calendar and event information for answering scheduling questions and planning.

Current connectors do not modify Google files, send email, or create calendar events. Permissions may cover more information than a single task needs; the task should access only relevant information. Google account and organizational permissions still apply.

AI processing is a separate data transfer

When an agent reads connected information, that information and its derived summaries can enter the conversation and be sent to the selected AI model as context. This can include later model requests using the same history. The OAuth service does not perform this content processing.

You should understand and affirmatively authorize the relevant external transfer, including the selected provider, affected data, and task, before using Google-derived information with an AI service. A policy link or the Google consent screen alone does not establish consent to an undisclosed AI transfer.

The AI provider and endpoint are selected by you in Pulse; there is no single mandatory provider. The selected service can receive relevant task content, conversation history, and derived summaries. Review the privacy and processing terms applicable to the exact service and account you use. Your provider choice does not permit prohibited Google-data uses. Do not infer that every selectable AI endpoint has been approved for Google-data processing. Your provider choice remains subject to Google's data-use restrictions and the selected service's applicable terms.

Google Limited Use

Pulse's use of Google API information is governed by Google's API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements. Google data must not be sold, used for targeted advertising, or used to train or improve generalized AI models. The applicable terms and processing practices of your selected provider must support these restrictions. Pulse does not represent that arbitrary configured endpoints already satisfy them.

We do not claim that Google has verified the app until approval has been obtained. Restricted permissions, including the current Gmail and Drive read scopes, have additional review requirements.

Your control

You can revoke access at Google Account connections. Delete relevant sessions and local files to remove retained excerpts. Revocation does not delete existing local history or external-provider copies. See Disconnect and Delete Data and Privacy Policy.
